“When I started using Comonetize, I could bring amazing value to my community members because they had a place to show all their works and apply to job offers and opportunities that come up to the board. I even let the enthusiasts register to the board and get exclusive promotional codes for courses and products“

Yael Yaacovi, leader of Yafutoo community for beauty professionals
Since 2009, I run the largest Facebook group of beauty professionals in Israel, with more than 120,000 make-up artists and make-up enthusiasts. This group is an amazing place for my community professionals to show their works and get feedback. That’s why I hated it when projects and job offers were posted on the group- it just flooded the wall with hundreds of mentions and comments and it pushed down the main activity of the group.
I was looking for a marketplace solution and I even started building something for my community. It wasn’t good enough and it was expensive.
When I started using Comonetize, I could bring amazing value to my community members because they had a place to show all their works and apply to job offers and opportunities that come up to the board. I even let the enthusiasts register to the board and get exclusive promotional codes for courses and products.
I’m also using Comonetize’s newsletter system, I send my community members my articles, information about meetups and lectures, and so on.
I think for my community members to have the opportunity to show their skills in their peer group is relevant and important.
As for monetization, I’m not a sprinter, I’m a marathonist.
I do enable them to promote themselves in the platform so that paying members will always be on top of the lists, but I still don’t prevent the free users from applying to projects. I think when the time will come, I’ll add more exclusive features to the premium users.
I think it’s important for community leaders to have their eggs in more than one baskets, and have as many online as possible”
