"Comonetize enabled me to provide huge value to my community members because many of them are freelancers in the learning & development field, and they are always on the hunt for new opportunities. I was searching for a marketplace solution to add to my site and came across Comonetize. It came right on time for me because I was about to pay the programmers to build something like this from scratch, so it saved me quite a lot of time and money.
Comonetize enabled me to provide huge value to my community members because many of them are freelancers in the learning & development field, and they are always on the hunt for new opportunities. Now each one of them has a professional profile on the platform, and they can show what they know. It’s like our community has its own “LinkedIn” now.
My Facebook group is now purely for networking and discussions since I am forwarding all recruiters and clients to the dedicated site to post their offers.
My community members get relevant offers straight to their inbox and they apply through the system with all the documents and information, it makes it so much easier to track and manage and they love the platform.
I’ve started monetizing this site from day one, with a “Freemium” service – everyone could join but if they wanted to get recommendations or apply early to projects, they had to be VIP members. The price I set for them is very affordable (about 10$ a month) and Comonetize is taking care of all the charging and invoicing, so it actually leaves me with a clear mind to focus on other projects while this income stream is working for me and getting me some extra cash every month.
I think the biggest challenge was to migrate the job offers from our Facebook group to our marketplace site. Still, it was a small effort compares to what it gave me: now when a project is posted on our marketplace board, I paste it back to the Facebook group. When professionals want to apply they sign up to my site, and when the next job offer will be posted, they’ll receive it by e-mail.
Now I have all their e-mails and I am the owner of my data and activity, and that means a lot.”
